Luz Marina "I forgave my ex-husband"
After 27 years of marriage, having built a house to live the rest of our lives together, I discovered that my husband was being unfaithful to me. We separated, and he kept the house and did not want to know anything about our children anymore. So I started to feel very angry towards my ex-husband.
A few months later, I gave my life to Jesus, and it was a process of deep restoration in my life. AI was attending a Bible home group, where I found restoration through the book of Joshua, specifically in chapter 7. With this scripture, I understood that I should take everything bad out of my heart. I asked God for direction to forgive my ex-husband and take away that resentment from my heart. After a few months I called him and asked him to forgive me, because it was not enough to forgive, but also to feel forgiven.
God delivered me from oppression! I was able to let go of all that burden and live free from the past.
Elida "I found a place to grow spiritually"
Since childhood, I have grown up in the evangelical Christian faith, I have always believed in God, but somehow, my faith was stagnant, because of the incomplete doctrine that I had been taught in the church.
Two years ago I began to attend the Vilafranca Christian Fellowship, and I have grown a lot spiritually, learning to pray with authority, recognizing my identity in Christ. In Bible studies I am learning more about what Jesus has already obtained for us on the Cross, which is not only salvation, as they always taught me, but also provided healing, prosperity and fulfillment. That all this has already provided for us, and all we have to do is receive it by faith. Stop pleading with God to do something he has already done, and praying as sons and daughters, knowing that He is good and wants the best for us always.
I am very grateful to the team of leaders for all the time they have dedicated to teaching me and ministering to me. Now I can live in the fullness and joy of Jesus Christ.
Francisca "I was totally lost, and I found God"
I was totally dependent on my husband, both emotionally and financially. He was everything to me, I trusted him completely. But one day I discovered that he was addicted to gambling and had spent all my family inheritance on it, in addition to being unfaithful to another woman I knew. He kicked me out of the house and forced me to divorce, leaving me with nothing. I was lost, sunk, desperate, without money ...
Some time later, I found myself in a passionate relationship with another man who was married, and I realized that I was causing that man's wife the same pain that my ex-husband caused me with his infidelity. So I repented, I called that woman and I asked her forgiveness from the bottom of my heart, promising that I would never do it again. I felt despicable, dirty and bad ... An acquaintance saw me so bad that she advised me to go to confession to the Catholic Church, which is where I had grown up and the only thing I knew at that time to approach God.
When I arrived to confess, my big surprise was when the priest asked me to put an envelope with money to pay for my sin. Totally indignant, I left that church and started driving aimlessly. In my despair, with my heart totally broken, I cried out to God saying "God, if you exist and you are real, I need you, please help me". And at that moment everything changed, and all the weight I felt disappeared, strongly feeling the peace of God, despite my problems.
Since then, I have never been the same. God has taken me through a long process of restoration, despite having gone through other difficult situations in my life, I have learned to trust Him totally. In addition, I have seen how He has restored my life and my economy.
